Spend Your Friday Evening with a Musician Who Is Unique, Eclectic, and Raw

Located in Houston, The House of Blues commitment to serving the community will always be a priority. From feeding the homeless on Thanksgiving Day before opening to the public to its grass-roots efforts to find and support local artists, the House of Blues is more than a place for music and food. Now, the House of Blues welcomes Oliva O’Brien to perform on Friday, April 19th!

Olivia O'Brien is a singer-songwriter who lives in Napa, Florida. She first grew to prominence releasing covers on her Soundcloud. Olivia O'Brien began posting content to her Soundcloud page in 2014 with a couple of her earliest covers being of Bastille's "Flaws" and Cash Cash's "Take Me Home." One song, “hate u love u”, was noticed by gnash, who remastered the song and re-released it as “i hate u i love u.”

Now signed to Island Records, the Los Angeles based artist subsequently built on that success by stepping out on her own and dropping 6 singles to date. Her music is rooted in atmospheric pop and R&B, her hip-hop inflected voice frequently manifesting itself in triplets. It’s a hearts-and-guts aesthetic that’s imminently relatable, if remarkably raw.

The House of Blues is dedicated to educating and celebrating the history of Southern Culture and African American artistic contributions to music and art. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased online at http://www.houseofblues.com. We hope that you join us for this amazing concert!

At Whispering Winds Apartments in Pearland, Texas, we believe it’s important to integrate yourself into the community, which is why we suggest attending this event. Meeting new people, having unfamiliar experiences, and joining neighborhood activities is the key to an exceptional lifestyle.
